Donald Trump's highly anticipated appearance on "The Dr. Oz Show" aired on Thursday. A primary topic of discussion unsurprisingly was the recently released results from his latest physical.

"If a patient of mine had these records, I'd be really happy and I'd send them on their way," host Mehmet Oz told the Republican presidential nominee.

Asked why he hadn't released his results sooner, Trump said he had not thought "it was necessary."

"The public's known me for a long time; they've never seen me in the hospital," he reasoned. "The one thing is, if I'm in the hospital, it's going to be out there big league."

The two then discussed the physical toll of campaigning, which Trump — overweight in terms of body mass index — thinks is exercise enough.

"It's a lot of work," Trump declared. "When I'm up there speaking in front of 15,000, 25,000 people up there, using a lot of motion, I guess, in its own way it's a really healthy act," Trump said of his rallies. "I really enjoy doing it. A lot of times these rooms are really hot, like saunas. I guess that's a form of exercise."
