Sad doggies: The agony of defeat at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show

Thousands entered and only one was declared best in show — but they were all very good boys and girls

The 2017 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show came to a close Tuesday night, and 5-year-old Rumor the German shepherd was declared the supreme winner. Sure, we could be like everyone else and fawn over the winner, but what about all the runners-up? Don't they deserve some recognition? If there ever were a competition that should give out medals for trying, it should be the Westminster.
