Donald Trump Jr. on Thursday responded to Sen. Bob Corker’s (R-TN) criticism of the Republican Party under President Donald Trump by admitting that the GOP has become a cult.

After the “Fox & Friends” hosts showed Trump Jr. footage of Corker’s criticism of the GOP, Trump Jr. initially called it “ridiculous” — but then he admitted the senator had a point.

“If it’s a cult, it’s because they like what my father’s doing,” he told the show. “You see real Americans actually winning for a change, conservatives actually getting things done.”

Trump, Jr. then claimed that Republican lawmakers have regularly called him to express astonishment at all the “winning” that they’ve been doing under his father, whereas before, Trump Jr. said the party would just “give up” because “somebody calls us a name.”

“They want someone like my father who actually will want to fight!” Trump Jr. declared.
