Born and raised in a small wooden house in Trindad, Lynne Procope has been known as the "reluctant" performer, involved in spoken word out of a sense of responsibility to her art. She has performed at a variety of venues as well as produced a number of literary events, including Crossings: An Evening of Caribbean Writers at the National Arts Club.
Lynne Procope is the co-founder of the A Little Bit Louder artists' collective and the curator of its monthly reading series, House of Woman, as well as a member of the 1998 Team New York City (NPS Champions).
In this recording Procope recites her poem "Elemental Woman". p
