The first of a series of spoken-word compilations from Nerve.com, "Sweet & Vicious" features dramatic interpretations of nine Nerve stories by some of today's hottest performers in theater and independent film.

James Urbaniak (Woody Allen's Sweet and Lowdown) reads from Joe Wenderoth's poetic collection of "deep thoughts" written on comment cards from Wendy's fast food restaurants. Ione Skye (Say Anything) tells Rachel Mattson's story of teen angst in "Drive." And Callie Thorne (Last Stop Wonderland) reads the part of a gay masochistic 15-year-old boy in "Natoma Street" by J. T. Leroy (a.k.a. Terminator). The depth and emotional range of these and other featured pieces are further enhanced by original musical compositions. It's Nerve like you've never heard it before.

In this excerpt, actress Parker Posey is the voice of a Siamese twin whose sister loses her virginity in Vicki Hendricks' "ReBecca".
