He is counsel in lawsuits concerning the Bush administration's detention, torture, rendition, and surveillance policies, and he is the co-author, with Amrit Singh, of "Administration of Torture: A Documentary Record from Washington to Abu Ghraib and Beyond." He is a graduate of Williams College, Cambridge University, and Harvard Law School.
