merle Kessler created the flamboyantly bitter persona of Ian Shoales
back in 1981, and has been trying to make a buck from it ever since. He
also is the co-creator of the "Ask Dr. Science" radio (and Internet)
feature and a founding member of Duck's Breath Mystery Theatre. He is
the author or co-author of four books, all of which can frequently be
found at the "Around Two Dollars" table at SuperCrown Books. He is also
a playwright, songwriter, occasional performer and "content provider."
As an employee of Sega of America, he wrote the non-interactive portions
for "Three Dirty Dwarves" and "Mr. Bones." These can be played on the Saturn
game system, a platform as dead as vaudeville. He is presently writing
for AndNow, a start-up game developer, and continuing his radio,
television, print and Internet columns. A "best of Ian Shoales" CD, "I
Gotta Go V.2," has just been released by 2.13.61 Records and is
available in a fine record store near you. A companion book, "Not Wet Yet," will be published this spring.
