For 2005's "The Earth Is Blue," dream pop duo Damon and Naomi once again collaborated with Ghost guitarist Michio Kurihari, who adds a crucial muscle and toning to their always pretty but sometimes flabby sound. Opening track "Beautiful Close Double" is a piece of bubbling, contented pop that really blossoms with the addition of some unexpected trumpet fanfares, provided by brilliant improviser Greg Kelley.
