No more stupid pet tricks: The Puppies Present Incredible Animal Tales (8 p.m., ABC), a show about animals who have unusual talents or who have performed heroic acts, is hosted by "The ABC Spokespuppies." These are five actual dogs whose facial expressions are computer enhanced so it looks like they're talking. I'm sure this phenomenon signifies something dark about the American soul, but I haven't figured it out yet. More trained pets: The medal's still warm, but Tara Lipinski is making her pro debut in The 1998 Skate TV Championships (9 p.m., ABC). It's one of those "competitions" where Katarina Witt, Kurt Browning, Oksana Baiul and others skate to current pop hits.
It's Ross and Emily's wedding day in England on the one-hour season finale of Friends (8 p.m., NBC), but will they actually tie the knot? Sarah Ferguson, Tom Conti and Jennifer Saunders ("Absolutely Fabulous") guest. Seinfeld (9 p.m., NBC) airs its next-to-last first-run episode. Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer are stuck in traffic in the middle of the Puerto Rican Day parade. Mystery! (check local times, PBS) wraps up "An Unsuitable Job for a Woman," the P.D. James private eye story starring Helen Baxendale (who's marrying Ross on "Friends" -- or not -- tonight). 48 Hours (10 p.m., CBS) explores the moral implications of revenge. On ER (10 p.m., NBC), Ross takes controversial action to treat a baby born addicted to heroin, and a televangelist and his ailing wife plan a broadcast from the hospital.
