The three-part British-made miniseries Invasion: Earth (9 p.m. EST/10 PST, Sci Fi Channel) stars Fred Ward, Vincent Regan and Maggie O'Neill in a thriller about an extraterrestrial campaign to colonize the planet. Continues through Wednesday. The documentary Sugar Ray Robinson: The Bright Lights and Dark Shadows of a Champion (10 p.m., HBO) profiles the 1940s and '50s boxing superstar whose life outside the ring made as many headlines as his bouts.

S E R I E S

Wendy's founder Dave Thomas is the subject of a new Biography (8 p.m. EST/9 PST, A&E). On 3rd Rock From the Sun (8 p.m., NBC), the Solomons discover that earthlings have varied reactions to the sight of naked people. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (8 p.m., WB) does its version of "It's a Wonderful Life," with Cordelia seeing how different life in Sunnydale would be if Buffy had never come to town. Felicity (9 p.m., WB) repeats the one where Noel makes a move on Felicity during a game of Boggle. Investigative Reports: Inside Scientology (9 p.m. EST/10 PST, A&E) examines the Church of Scientology's conflicts with its perceived enemies in the media and federal government. On NYPD Blue (10 p.m., ABC), new kid Sorenson has a surprising reaction to a brutal murder-robbery and Sipowicz gets some new information that may help Sylvia spring a man she believes was wrongly convicted. Come on, admit it -- you sort of like Rick Schroder's Danny. He's got a little mystery around the eyes, doesn't he?
