Jessye Norman: A Holiday Homecoming (check local times, PBS) follows the soprano home to Georgia for a performance of carols and spirituals with the Augusta Opera Company's orchestra and chorus.

S E R I E S

On the Christmas episode of Melrose Place (8 p.m., Fox), a judge sentences Jane and Michael to be with each other on the holiday, and Hanson plays at Lexi and Amanda's fund-raiser. Doug ruins Carrie's heretofore successful attempt at matchmaking on The King of Queens (8:30 p.m., CBS). Ally McBeal (9 p.m., Fox) reruns last year's Christmas episode, in which Ally represents a man, a wife and a mistress who want to legalize their relationship. On a yuletide rerun of Everybody Loves Raymond (9 p.m., CBS), Ray keeps making a move on Debra at the wrong time during a hectic Christmas Day. In case you missed it last week, A Buffy Christmas (9 p.m., WB) is having a special encore airing. That would be "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," of course. Angel is tormented by his victims of Christmases past.
