SALON'S TV PICKS FOR
TUESDAY, MARCH 9, 1999
BY JOYCE MILLMAN

S E R I E S

It's another night of (mostly) reruns. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (8 p.m., WB) has the one where Buff and Oz try to help a classmate who's being abused by her boyfriend. On a repeat of King of the Hill (8 p.m., Fox), Hank is preoccupied with breeding the dog, while Peggy fumes. A tenant's son wants to be a super, just like Thurgood, on a rerun of The PJs (8:30 p.m., Fox). Felicity (9 p.m., WB) reruns the Thanksgiving episode, where she meets Noel's stick-in-the-mud girlfriend. Sports Night (9:30 p.m., ABC) has a new episode: Casey, Dan and Dana try to sort things out with Sally, Rebecca and Gordon. Strange World (10 p.m., ABC) takes over the "NYPD Blue" slot for a few weeks while that show takes a break. Working for the Army's Medical Research Institute, Turner uncovers a conspiracy involving surrogate mothers and fetus stealing. Bravo Profiles (10 p.m., Bravo) presents "Central Casting," a look at the history of Hollywood extras.
