Series

Biography (8 p.m. EST/9 PST, A&E) repeats its profile of John F. Kennedy Jr. On It's like, you know ... (8:30 p.m., ABC), death penalty opponent Jen dates a guy who is for capital punishment. The Drew Carey Show (9 p.m., ABC) reruns the one where Drew falls for an older woman (Shirley Jones) at night school. Gather 'round, kids, for a holiday tradition: the heartwarming Christmas episode of South Park (10 p.m., Comedy Central), where Jewish Kyle is banned from the yuletide festivities and Mr. Hankey makes a special appearance.

Specials

Millennium: Adventures in Time (8 p.m., NBC) is a National Geographic special chronicling how the Earth has changed over the past millennium. John Lithgow narrates. Centenarians recount the great events of the past 100 years in the documentary A Century of Living (8 p.m., HBO). The Science of Christmas (9 p.m., Discovery Channel) applies scientific theories and principles to explain (or debunk) such Christmas traditions as how Santa could deliver toys to every house in the world in a single night.
