Investigative Reports (10 p.m. Fri., A&E) presents "Friend or Foe: Flight 655," which examines a possible link between the downing of an Iranian commercial airliner by the USS Vincennes and the Lockerbie bombing six months later. On a rerun of The Simpsons (8 p.m. Sun., Fox), Moe undergoes cosmetic surgery and becomes a soap opera star. On Sex and the City (9 p.m. Sun., HBO), Carrie gets a new boyfriend (John Corbett of "Northern Exposure"), and this one's going to stick around awhile. Queen Latifah goes under the microscope on Behind the Music (9 p.m. Sun., VH1).

How thoughtful of NBC to run a three-hour Freaks and Geeks marathon (8 p.m. Sat., NBC), now that the show is canceled. Where should we send our thank you notes? Still, these are the series' three remaining first-run episodes, so set the VCR and spend a geeky night by the tube paying last respects to one of the finest high school comedy-dramas that ever lived. NBC's only crime: it would have preferred "That '70s Show." The new cable movie Longitude (8 p.m. Sun., A&E) stars Jeremy Irons and Michael Gambon in an adaptation of Dava Sobel's bestseller about the invention of the chronometer to aid navigation at sea. Mark Wahlberg plays a hugely gifted porn star in Paul Thomas Anderson's lyrical 1997 ensemble comedy-drama Boogie Nights (10 p.m. Sun., FX), which is making its basic cable debut. Julianne Moore, Heather Graham, Don Cheadle and Burt Reynolds are among the stellar supporting players in this ode to the glory days of the adult film industry.
