Food Network/McDonald's programming oddity

Is subliminal product placement the wave of the future?

Here's a curious video from a quick-eyed DVR user. In the clip, our narrator freezes a frame, barely noticeable when the program plays at regular speed, which is presumably an ad for McDonald's. Was it purposely placed? Kind of ironic that the DVR, which has been confounding advertisers by letting viewers fast-forward through TV ads, would reveal this blip for Mickey D's. What gives? Are we going to have to accept this practice if we insist on skipping commercials?
