Here's the first in a series of short videos intertwined with the latest campaign from director/producer Robert Greenwald ("Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism," "Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price," TheRealMcCain.com) and Brave New Films called "Fox Attacks." In an email message circulating today, Greenwald writes: "Fox Attacks is a campaign that offers you real tools to DO SOMETHING other than throw things at the TV. Join us in forcing Fox to stop serving as a mouthpiece for the right wing's agenda. ... Fox is not a legitimate news channel. They are a dangerous element in our democracy: dangerous in the way they influence other media, dangerous in the way they force stories into the mainstream without any evidence, dangerous in the effect they have on their viewers." Check out FoxAttacks.com for more information.

The footage below may look like a duplicate of the footage above, because it sort of is. On a related note, last week we talked about "The 1/2 Hour News Hour," Fox News Channel's alleged answer to "The Daily Show." The canned laughter worked so well for that program that one creative YouTuber opted to lay the fake audience over real footage of FNC's John Gibson hacking away at Barack Obama. The results: way funnier than "The 1/2 Hour News Hour."
