The upcoming Avengers movie, starring Uma Thurman and Ralph Fiennes, is giving fans of the original TV series a nice little windfall. On July 28, two boxed sets of "Avengers" episodes starring Diana Rigg and Patrick Macnee will hit the stores; on Aug. 15, A&E will celebrate the opening of the new movie with an Avengers Marathon of classic episodes ... Bob Odenkirk and David Cross of HBO's comedy series Mr. Show have sold their script "Hooray for America" to Universal; it's about an actor who's recruited by a giant corporation to run for president. The Harry Truman Show? ... NBC will not rerun the lame yet controversial "Puerto Rican Day parade" episode of Seinfeld, thereby insuring it of legend status on the rerun and cable syndication circuit.
