Ellen (9:30 p.m., ABC) runs a never-aired episode in which Ellen, back working at the radio station, inspires her listeners to perform acts of kindness. On a rerun of Law & Order (10 p.m., NBC), a serial killer's lawyer uses an "exposure to TV violence" defense.
