The documentary series Wild Islands (check local times, PBS) continues its survey of the culture and history of tropical islands with a show about Indonesia. And the four-part series Into the Rising Sun (check local times, PBS) continues its re-creation of the journey of Portuguese explorer Vasco de Gama, who opened up a route from Europe to the East.

Eric goes to his college reunion on Stressed Eric (9:30 p.m., NBC). A table-waiting competition is one of the improvs on Whose Line Is It Anyway? (9:30 p.m., ABC). The female docs go on a wilderness retreat on a rerun of Chicago Hope (10 p.m., CBS). Law & Order (10 p.m., NBC) reruns an episode about the rape of a mentally disabled college student.
