S P E C I A L S

Election coverage begins early on Fox News Channel (4 p.m., EST/PST) and CNN (5 p.m., EST/PST). CNN has snagged former Clinton press secretary Mike McCurry to provide analysis. C-SPAN (8:30 p.m.) covers election returns after the polls close on the East Coast. ABC, CBS and NBC check in with coverage at 10 p.m., EST/PST, although local stations may preempt network programming earlier for local election results.


S E R I E S

Nova (check local times, PBS) presents "Special Effects: 'Titanic' and Beyond," a look at the evolution of Hollywood's special effects, from "King Kong" in 1933 to current examples of visual trickery in "Titanic," "The X-Files" and more. On a new King of the Hill (8 p.m., Fox), Hank and Peggy visit a fertility clinic in hopes of having a second child, but someone else in their family gets pregnant before they do. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (8 p.m., WB) has a new episode in which the competition for Homecoming Queen gets way out of hand. On Felicity (9 p.m., WB), Ben asks Felicity to check a paper for spelling errors but, unbeknownst to him, Missy Perfect rewrites it.
