SALON'S TV PICKS FOR
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10, 1999
BY JOYCE MILLMAN

S E R I E S

With sweeps over, Dateline NBC (8 p.m., NBC) resorts to that old reliable newsmag story -- automobile crash tests. On Beverly Hills, 90210 (8 p.m., Fox), a man saves Dylan's life, then vanishes, Gina sues over mismanagement of her trust fund and Steve is in possession of a madam's little black book. Dawson continues to spiral out of control on Dawson's Creek (8 p.m., WB); this week, he lashes out at his new film teacher (played by Madchen Amick of "Twin Peaks"). Also, a psychic predicts romance for Joey. On Party of Five (9 p.m., Fox), Griffin makes a last-ditch attempt to get through to Julia about how dangerous Ned is. A lucky Courtney Love fan wins an audience with Her Majesty on Fanatic (10:30 p.m., MTV).

S P E C I A L S

More True Stories from 'Touched by an Angel' (8 p.m., CBS) plugs CBS's highest-rated drama and tugs heartstrings with testimonials from viewers about how the show has Changed Their Lives.
