Filmmaker Lisa Lewenz put together the documentary A Letter Without Words (check local times, PBS) using home movies that were shot by her grandmother, German-Jewish filmmaker Ella Lewenz, in pre-WWII Berlin and that depicted her family's increasing alarm over the rise of Nazism. - - - - - - - - - - - - Series Children's author James Marshall's stories about the friendship between two hippos become an animated series in George and Martha (7 p.m., HBO). Nathan Lane and Andrea Martin provide the voices. On The King of Queens (8:30 p.m., CBS), Doug is frantic with hunger at a dinner party for one of Carrie's clients, but there isn't any food.
