Ming-Na Wen becomes a regular again on ER (10 p.m., NBC) as the ambitious and tireless Dr. Deb Chen, who makes Lucy Knight seem like a slacker. The science of sexual attraction is the topic on Turn Ben Stein On (10:30 p.m., Comedy Central), with guest Bill Nye the Science Guy.

GOP contenders square off in a New Hampshire Republican Presidential Debate (7 p.m., PBS, MSNBC). Motorists are caught on surveillance tape Getting a Ticket in America (8 p.m., Fox), while angry mobs are shown marauding and pillaging in the special you've been waiting for, Totally Out of Control People (9 p.m., ABC). The documentary James Thurber: The Life and Hard Times (check local times, PBS) profiles the satirist and cartoonist through interviews with admirers and friends. George Plimpton narrates.
