On Friends (8 p.m., NBC), Chandler's gaffe ruins his and Monica's anniversary, and Joey gets a guy to pose as his twin to cash in on a get-rich-quick scheme. Frasier and Niles go head-to-head in a wine-tasting competition on Frasier (9 p.m., NBC). Mystery! (check local times, PBS) presents "Trial by Fire," a psychological thriller about a prosecutor (Juliet Stevenson) and her police-chief lover (Jim Carter) who become caught up in a nasty murder case. Kovac labors to save the victim of a hit-and-run accident on ER (10 p.m., NBC). 48 Hours (10 p.m., CBS) reports on panic attacks, while 20/20 Downtown (10 p.m., ABC) investigates a string of South African witchcraft-themed murders. Celebrity Deathmatch (10 p.m., MTV) pits Steven Spielberg against Alfred Hitchcock and Sharon Stone against Kathy Bates.
