I want to thank you, Mollie Dickenson, for the piece you wrote in today's Salon. Until I read your first article on Feb. 24, I was wondering if I was the only one that saw the Clinton stories differently than they were being reported. I immediately wrote to the Washington Post ombudsman to ask why your story had been pulled at the last minute. Her reply was there was nothing new in it and it was a much better story when it ran in Salon. My reply to this was, "Since when has nothing new kept a story out of the paper? There has been nothing new to report on this story since January 20th." My belief is that in the very beginning of Clinton's '92 campaign, the media heard the stories coming from Clinton's enemies in Arkansas and bought them without ever checking, and they have based all other stories on their initial beliefs. There may just be a silver lining in all of this. If Kenneth Starr finds nothing wrong after all these years and dollars, the media will then be forced to look at themselves. They, after all, are the thinkers of their thoughts. It is a vision I will enjoy seeing happen. Why do you not appear on television programs? I asked C-SPAN to have you on "Washington Journal." I would like to see a story done on WHAT IF CLINTON DID NOTHING WRONG? Since every story on this has centered on what if he did do something wrong, it would be interesting to turn the tables on all the pundits. Thank you again for your articles. I am your biggest fan. -- Ann Bridges

I was very upset and disturbed by your review of the movie "A Price Above Rubies." As an orthodox, religious Jew, I took offense to the stereotypes presented in both the review and the movie. Jewish customs should not be made fun of, and should not be judged. The director painted such a negative picture of the Chassidic community. A director that is not part of the community cannot accurately represent areas in which he is not actively participating. An onlooker cannot hear the thoughts and feelings of someone involved in a situation. The director, although a Jew himself, is feeding the anti-Semitism that plagues our world. The article was generally poorly written and an embarrassment to your magazine. -- Sara Silverman
