Let's get some shit straight here. Time to pull out the chopsticks and perform a little lit-crit action on Courtney Weaver's recent installment about the ubiquity of chink fantasies in the minds of certain white guys. Fantasy island is the operative phrase here. Titless, hairless, geisha-servin' China dolls? Yeah, right. As right as black women are fat-assed, kunta kintae, jungle-hootin' animals on the prowl for white meat. Yeah, lump an entire community together and call it "Gook Stew." This story is just reactive and dumb. Honey, you need to couch your sexual envy and racial confusion in more sophisticated ways. This one had the IQ of Humpty Dumpty.
We Korean women dig Courtney's compliment about how Korean women have it goin' on in the looks department. But actually, after we're finished smiling, we turn around and talk to each other in the native tongue, knowing that it was more condescending grist for her white-girl mill. Fortune cookie cliché anyone? This was the biggest piece of bullshit story I've ever read. Courtney needs to retire and sign up with the KKK. This was pure, unmitigated 100 percent racist bullshit. Sit down and think a concept THROUGH. Even if your forehead bleeds. It's well worth the effort.

As an Asian man, I thank God for white men like Ted. They help to identify the other half of this unholy equation -- Asian women fixated on white men. Just as Courtney is thankful that guys like Ted are taken out of the dating pool for her, so too are Asian men thankful that these women are taken out of the dating pool. They deserve each other.
His candor, while refreshing, highlighted the reason why I no longer date Asian women. With most Asian women, ethnicity is the one big issue, taking precedence over every other issue. They either will date me because I happen to be Asian or they refuse to date me because I'm Asian. With white women, my Asian-ness is almost never an issue, and when it is, it's a very small part of the relationship. We are free to explore relationships as individuals, as a man and a woman. It's quite refreshing.
While it is flattering to be admired for any quality, I'd rather be admired for a quality over which I have some control rather than an immutable quality with which I was born. This does not seem to be the case with Ted and his women.

Rather than "Why are white men attracted to Asian women?" a better question for Courtney Weaver would be "Why do American women love to feel superior to Asian women?"
I am an American man living in Japan. Before I left the U.S. to live here, so many women told me I was only going because I like submissive women. Then they would launch into a diatribe about how superior and liberated they were compared with their little yellow sisters. Why do American women get such a kick out of putting Asian women down? Further, why do they perpetuate stereotypes they would not allow to exist in America? Contrary to the beliefs of American women, Asian women are not as submissive as they think. Furthermore, there are many reasons white men might be attracted to them. You are always hearing feminists complain about the Barbie doll image of beauty perpetuated by the media, yet when one group of men show a little diversity in their tastes, their motives are questioned.

So I guess what you're trying to say is that all Asian men must also have some kind of "sexual psyche connected with pedophilia" considering probably 95 percent of them end up with Asian women. Or perhaps the other extreme, those that go for white women are tough, hunky men with all the right stuff?
I fled the West, having grown up in a dusty little burg outside a city of 3 million or so predominantly Anglo-Saxon people. Perhaps it was the swearing, or the cultural expectations, right or wrong, that a guy would be pursuing a sexual encounter within the first hour of the first date. Maybe it was just those hairy armpits. Gawd I dunno, but I fled.
Now I'm happily living in Singapore. Surrounded by pure, unadulterated, lily-scented Estrogen. Silky black hair. Smooth unblemished skin. Full lips. Sensual feline movements. Wow, this place is paradise! Poor guys back home don't know what they're missing. Hell, even the white chicks look better here. Maybe it's because there's less of them.
I had some female friends come over from the hometown some months back. The scary part is they were just like you, Courtney. They looked at my slim little Chinese girlfriend with that stirring of hatred in their wicked blue eyes.
I guess I can take the branding of pedophile, sexual deviant and the rest of that shit because I know what it stands for. Just like those idiots back home who hate black guys, no doubt because they're likely to have a much bigger dick than themselves.
Who cares? It's well worth it.

After having to put up with Courtney Weaver's casual and highhanded dismissal in her recent columns of all black men, all short men and now, in her most recent column, all white men who go out with Asian women as being unworthy of her, it was with a delicious sense of Schadenfreude that I savored her obvious discomfort at speaking with a man who also casually dismissed her and all like her as too white, too tall, too pushy, too hairy and too big breasted.
She was rightly hoist on her own petard, but at least she seemed to have had the wit and good grace to appreciate the irony of the situation.
