 A trend story asks: Are women who "settle" the new dating pioneers?

Nov. 16, 2005 | The money quote from a story in today's New York Observer about high-powered women in New York and Hollywood "settling" for less successful men: "Sometimes dating dumb guys and dicking them around makes you feel like a man," says 30-year-old Allyson, a "wizened veteran of the pleasures and perils of dating down." Is there some truth to this?
