Thank goodness for Feministing, or we wouldn’t have known that CNN was polling its readers on whether Wal-Mart should be required to stock emergency contraception.

As we mentioned earlier this week, three Massachusetts women are suing the retail giant for failing to stock the morning-after pill in its pharmacies. For its part, Wal-Mart seems to have decided that the best defense is sticking its head in the sand, and is claiming that emergency contraception isn’t “commonly prescribed.”

Currently, CNN poll respondents who believe Wal-Mart pharmacies should not have to carry emergency contraception are leading those who think it should; the score is 70,690 votes to 67,485. Broadsheet readers, please hustle over to CNN and weigh in!
