Romney vows to protect, I mean overturn, Roe

See, because flip-flopping is OK when it's antiabortion.

In 1994, Mitt Romney declared that -- speaking for himself and his mother, who lost a relative to an illegal abortion -- "we can believe as we want, but we will not force our beliefs on others on [the] matter [of abortion]. You will not see me wavering on that." But if you look closely, you might see his nose growing. (Much like McCain's.) As Ruth Marcus points out in the Washington Post, Romney, once explicitly pro-choice, now says "he opposes abortion except in cases of rape and incest or to save the life of the mother, and supports overturning Roe." More disturbing than his change of heart itself, of course, is its obvious empty expediency, though at this point, sadly, it's not surprising. Additional damning video here.
