Breaking news out of Malaysia: Women are emotionally abusing Muslim men by wearing immodest, Western-style dress, according to fundamentalist cleric Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat. The Islamic Party of Malaysia member says that women's clothing choices are causing the country's men private pain, and he has resolved to finally shed light on these unseen victims of sartorial abuse. "We always [hear about] the abuse of children and wives in households, which is easily perceived by the eye but the emotional abuse of men cannot be seen," he said. "Our prayers become unfocused and our sleep is often disturbed."
I'm sure this isn't the last we'll hear from Aziz, who previously suggested that Malaysian women only wear lipstick or perfume if they felt like getting raped. Shine on, you crazy cleric, shine on.
