For this month's winner, Dianne Lake, a hearty handshake will have to do -- she's already had the parade. It all started late one Halloween. You may actually think she's lucky: after all, she didn't have to find a costume and then stuff her stomach to look like a pregnant woman. And she didn't have to pause alongside festival-goers, hold onto fences and trees, and lunge forward just to accent her costume with contractions. That was all taken care of naturally, in "Trick or treat! Smell my feet! Halloween labor in the street."

She is the winner of a house-cleaning from Merry Maids, who will come and wipe away all of the scary things that grow in the darkest corners of any home.
