Don't stick it to poultry

Having viewed the show, I withdraw my concern (for the most part). I am glad the show emphasized that a chicken should not be violated. South Park, I have now learned, is very popular with animal activists and many people. I see why. Thank you again for responding to my call and for sticking up for chickens on South Park..”

-- United Poultry Concerns president Karen Davis in a letter to Comedy Central concerning an episode of the popular cartoon "South Park" titled "Chickenlover/Reading Is Dumb." Davis had complained to the cable channel upon hearing about the episode, which focuses on a criminal who is violating chickens, but recanted her objections after viewing the show. Quoted in Mr. Showbiz.
