During the segment, Cooper enumerated the abuses of the Mubarak regime by saying it insulted and belittled the nation of Egypt. The reference served as a nod to Egyptian Vice President Omar Suleiman, who disparaged protesters on Monday in a similar manner. By contrast, the AC360 host praised the resilience of anti-government protesters who continue to risk life and limb as they call for an end to 30 years of authoritarian rule.
