Jun. 20, 2007 | The Huffington Post's Rachel Sklar -- who thinks Bill and Hillary Clinton's "Sopranos" parody was a "pitch perfect" part of a "move that even critics have to admit is pretty genius" -- reminds us that the selection of a Celine Dion number as Clinton's campaign song came by way of a vote on her campaign Web site.
So while Clinton's team put the Dion number on the ballot -- alongside choices from U2, KT Tunstall, Smash Mouth, the Temptations, the Dixie Chicks, Shania Twain, Jesus Jones and the Staple Singers -- maybe it's Clinton's supporters, not Clinton herself, who deserve the credit or blame for the final result. That, or maybe the "vast right-wing conspiracy" stuffed the electronic ballot box with votes for a tune by a French-Canadian diva most famous for presiding, musically speaking, over the sinking of the Titanic.
