Aug. 24, 2007 | And there goes another one: Wan J. Kim, the assistant attorney general in charge of the Justice Department's civil rights division, is resigning to take a job in the private sector.

It's hard to keep track of all of the Justice Department officials who have resigned since the first of the year, but here's a start: Alberto Gonzales' chief of staff, Kyle Sampson; Gonzales' White House liaison, Monica Goodling; Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty; McNulty's chief of staff, Michael Elston; Acting Associate Attorney General William Mercer; and former voting rights section chief Bradley Schlozman.
