Report: Romney to endorse McCain

Mitt Romney will endorse John McCain for the Republican presidential nomination on Thursday, according to the Associated Press.

The Associated Press reports that former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who dropped out of the race for the Republican presidential nomination last week, will be endorsing former rival John McCain later today.

Romney will also reportedly ask the delegates he won to vote for McCain at the Republican convention. According to various media estimates of delegate counts, the addition of Romney's delegates would all but clinch the nomination for McCain.
