In a sworn statement, Sarah Palin's husband declares his innocence in Troopergate, while admitting repeated efforts to get the state trooper at the heart of the scandal.
Todd Palin delivered this statement to the former prosecutor investigating "Troopergate" on Oct. 8, 2008. The investigation is looking into Sarah Palin's firing of Walt Monegan, Alaska's public safety commissioner, and whether that came about because Monegan himself would not fire Palin's former brother-in-law, a state trooper named Mike Wooten.
