My cameo on "The Colbert Report"

Thanks to Pat Buchanan's Colin Powell meltdown, I was featured in Scott Bateman and Colbert satires, all in one day.

I was on "The Colbert Report" Monday night! Really! Well, sort of.

Many friends alerted me I had a cameo in a segment making fun of Pat Buchanan's kitchen-sink attack on Colin Powell on Sunday's "Hardball." It wasn't a speaking role for me, I just got to sit there in my little "Hardball" box, looking very uncomfortable. But there I was, on my favorite show (well, except for "Mad Men," and I don't really see a "Mad Men" cameo in my future, though I'd love to get to wear an authentic "Joan" dress). Here's Colbert!

The whole segment is hilarious. It's just the beginning for me: Someday I'll be there on the set with Stephen, and I'll maybe even get to talk (but I don't have to talk, Stephen, I can just gaze at you adoringly, if you like).

Thanks to Scott Bateman, I did get to talk in this great video takeoff on the Buchanan race smackdown:

Thanks, Scott! My ultimate dream, however, is to turn up in one of Mortimer Hayden Smyth's "28 Attacks (on Obama) in 28 Days." I don't know how, I don't know why, but I'm going to work on that one in the next 14 days. All ideas welcome.
