'The state of my reelection campaign is strong'

The White House is releasing excerpts of tonight's State of the Union address -- and early glances reveal the president will warn us that we must give him another term.

"We have not come all this way -- through tragedy and trial and war -- only to falter and leave our work unfinished," he'll say.

If you tire of the usual post-speech punditry, call Al Franken and see what he thought of Bush's address. The DNC's Kicking Ass blog says "Franken, in conjunction with leading progressive youth organization 2020 Democrats, will offer commentary on the speech and discuss the importance of youth involvement in politics for approximately 20 minutes in a listen-only call around 10:30 p.m. tonight."

To listen in on the call, dial 877-366-0713 and enter pass code: 64520911# or listen to a web stream of the event.
