George Allen may not know why he called an Indian-American college student "Macaca," but Fox's Alan Colmes does. As Wonkette reports, Colmes said unequivocally on the air Monday night that the word "Macaca" "means Mohawk."
Nothing to see here. Please move along.
We don't know what language Colmes is speaking, and -- the word "Salon" on our business card notwithstanding -- we're not exactly experts in hairstyles. But having seen a photograph of the Indian-American college student in question, we can say with a high degree of confidence that the hairstyle he's sporting isn't a "mohawk." So even if "Macaca" is somehow the same as "mohawk," and even if Colmes has some kind of mind-meld thing going on with the junior senator from Virginia, the Fox man's explanation still falls a couple of stripes short of a flag.
