Attorney General Alberto Gonzales will hold a press conference later this afternoon to discuss the growing scandal surrounding the firing of eight U.S. attorneys last year, and Chuck Schumer has already drawn the outlines of the first two questions that ought to be asked of him: Did you know that your chief of staff had worked with the White House to come up with a list of U.S. attorneys to be fired? And if you didn't know what your own chief of staff was doing with the White House, are you really qualified to be attorney general?
