Maybe she just wants to spend more time with her family
Sara Taylor, who has worked for Karl Rove and George W. Bush since the earliest days of their first presidential campaign, packed up her stuff and left the White House last week.
Maybe she's leaving because she wants to work in the private sector, as she tells the Washington Post. Or maybe, just maybe, it's because she has been implicated in the firing of U.S. attorneys last year. Former Alberto Gonzales chief of staff Kyle Sampson -- he quit, too -- has testified that Taylor pushed the idea of bypassing the Senate in replacing the U.S. attorney in Arkansas with Rove associate Tim Griffin.
The Senate Judiciary Committee has approved a subpoena for Taylor's testimony in the prosecutor purge.
