War Room

What, was "Mandy" already taken?

A War Room quiz with no wrong answer: Which is more lame, the Bill-and-Hillary "Sopranos" parody that introduces the new theme song for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, or the fact that the song in question is one by Celine Dion?

We never thought we'd say these words. But Jesus, Journey really is looking pretty hip.

Update: To be fair, the choice of a Celine Dion number is perfectly consistent with Clinton's "please everyone, so you please no one" politics. Dion is so profoundly middle-of-the-road that the choice isn't really going to light a fire under any progressives who might turn up for a Clinton campaign rally. On the other hand, Dion made such "outrageous" comments about reports of looting in the wake of Hurricane Katrina -- "Oh, they're stealing 20 pair of jeans or they're stealing television sets. Who cares? ... Maybe those people are so poor, some of the people who do that they're so poor they've never touched anything in their lives. Let them touch those things for once" -- that the right will have reason to get all hot and bothered about Hillary all over again. Oh, and then there's this: Celine Dion was born in Canada and has released albums in ... French.
