Hillary Clinton got her latest endorsement today, this time from the man at the eye of the Scooter Libby storm: former ambassador Joseph Wilson.

The press release marking the occasion called Wilson "a leading Iraq war critic" and mentioned the time "on the eve of the Gulf War" when he "defied Saddam Hussein by giving shelter to hundreds of Americans and other foreigners."

Wilson's statement of support was as follows: "I have known Hillary Clinton for a decade. She is the one candidate who, in my judgment, understands the need to get Americans out of harm's way and to move this to a political process. She knows what to do. She has the leadership. On day one, she will be able to reach out to the international community, and I am delighted to fight the fight with her."

So far, Clinton's list of endorsements includes Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, former New York Mayor David Dinkins, former vice-presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro and filmmaker Steven Spielberg.
