GQ is up with its list of the 50 Most Powerful People in D.C. We can accept Condoleezza Rice at No. 1, but Harry Reid at No. 2? Call us when you’ve got the power to start, or stop, a war.

Supreme Court swingman Anthony Kennedy deserves at least his No. 4 ranking, and it’s probably fair to put Dick Cheney Chief of Staff David Addington nine clicks ahead of George W. Bush Chief of Staff Josh Bolten. We’re not sure why, but neither Bush nor Cheney appears on the list at all. Hillary Clinton lands at No. 8

The man at No. 9 is on his way out. The man at No. 13 has been dead for three years. And if Tim Russert is really the 14th most powerful person in our nation’s capital — well, God help us all.
