White House: "Congress is being run by Code Pink"

Here's what happened when a Code Pink protester tried to confront Condoleezza Rice as she appeared before the House Foreign Affairs Committee this morning:

And here's what White House press secretary Dana Perino said about it afterward: "I saw a picture from that hearing where a lady in Code Pink with red painted on her hands disrupted the hearing, and I think it's despicable, and, unfortunately, it seems that increasingly Congress is being run by Code Pink. And we do thank Chairman Lantos for trying to restore order to that hearing."

Code Pink is running Congress? We're not sure what hearings and which votes Perino has been watching. In the ones we've seen, Code Pink protesters have routinely been "escorted" out of hearing rooms, and Code Pink's antiwar views have routinely been voted down by Republicans and Democrats unwilling to pull the plug on Iraq.

Maybe Perino just has Code Pink confused with MoveOn. Or with Hillary Clinton or al-Qaida. Or with those America haters in Malibu, Calif.

They're all the same, you know.
