Is Obama getting "testy"?

We know a bit about the "frank exchange," but what does it mean to have a "testy exchange"? Those are the words ABC News' Political Radar uses to describe a start-and-stop conversation Barack Obama had with New York Times reporter Jeff Zeleny, who asked the candidate whether Bill Clinton was "getting inside" his head.

But was Obama really "testy"? Is it true that he "shot back" and "fired back" at Zeleny, as ABC reports? Was he "angrily" confronting the reporter, as the Huffington Post says in a front-page headline even as it takes a different view of things inside?
