Hot on the heels of an endorsement from Rudy Giuliani, and with Super Tuesday fast approaching, Sen. John McCain has picked up another high-profile supporter from a Super Tuesday state, Calif. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. This move had been rumored Tuesday and Wednesday, but has now been confirmed.

Salon's Mike Madden hears from the McCain camp that Schwarzenegger decided to hold off from endorsing McCain Wednesday so as not to overshadow the Republican presidential debate held in California Wednesday night. Instead, Schwarzenegger will most likely be announcing the endorsement Thursday morning. McCain canceled a fundraising trip to San Francisco in order to be in Los Angeles for the event.
