Obama projected to win big in Georgia

NBC and CNN are both projecting that Barack Obama has won the Georgia primary. Early results show Obama with a 2-to-1 lead over rival Hillary Clinton, according to CNN. African-American voters made up slightly more than half the turnout among Georgia Democrats voting in the primary. Exit polls indicate that Obama won about 80 percent of their votes, according to CNN. He won about 40 percent of white voters, an improvement over his showing in South Carolina, which CNN attributed to John Edwards being out of the race. More exit poll data is here.
