We have a winner -- finally

Hillary Clinton is declared the victor in New Mexico's caucuses, and it only took nine days to count the votes.

Nine days later, we finally have a resolution to the New Mexico caucuses. (The suspense was, apparently, killing no one, as the fact that the state had yet to declare a winner has been going all but unnoticed.)

The state's Democrats caucused on Super Tuesday, Feb. 5, but a close race between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama necessitated a full recount and the tallying of thousands of provisional ballots. Ultimately, Clinton prevailed, getting 73,105 votes to Obama's 71,396. Clinton also picked up a narrow delegate victory from the state, taking 14 of New Mexico's 26 pledged delegates.
